The GoodHire dashboard is the main page for employer users to find candidate background checks. The primary ‘Hiring Results’ page contains candidate background checks ordered within the employer’s archive period setting.
1) Tile Filtering
GoodHire users can quickly filter candidate background checks using the ‘View’ link within each tile along the top of the dashboard. Here’s a breakdown of how each filter works:
- Info Required: checks awaiting candidate information, consent, documents, or drug scheduling in order to begin/continue processing.
- Processing: checks currently processing but not yet completed. Reports that have been delayed longer than the anticipated turnaround time will also be displayed using this filter.
- Results Ready For Review: checks completed with one or more screenings requiring your review. This does not indicate an alert, rather there is a screening ready for your review. For more information, see Ready for Review Status.
- Results w/ Alerts: checks completed where one or more screenings contains an alert.
- Results Clear: checks completed with all clear screenings.
2) Search Bar
Employer users are able to find candidate checks by:
- Candidate’s First Name
- Candidate’s Last Name
- Candidate’s Email Address
3) Filters
Employer users can filter their candidate background checks using:
- Status: filters checks based on the current status
- Alert: checks completed with an alert on at least 1 screening service.
- Alert Cleared: checks completed with all alert(s) marked as ok by an employer user.
- Canceled: checks canceled due to refunds.
- Clear: checks that have completed with all clear screening services.
- Expired: checks that have expired due to missing candidate input or declined fees.
- Locked: checks that are locked due to duplicate candidate email. These checks will not begin/resume processing until the background check is unlocked.
- Processing: checks that are currently processing or in a processing delay (usually due to court closure/delays).
- Pending Fees: checks that are paused until 3rd party fee(s) are accepted by an employer user.
- Ordered By: filters checks based on the employer user who created the order
- Location/Department: filters orders based on the employer or location that the order was placed by
- NOTE: This filter is only available for employers with a hierarchy enabled.
4) Bulk Actions
Use bulk actions to:
- Download Results: download up to 50 candidate background checks at once. We’ll notify the user via email when the download is ready. The download can then be accessed via the ‘Download Activity’ in the Account section, and is available as a zip file containing PDFs of each candidate background check.
- NOTE: Only available for completed background checks. Downloaded version comes with “All Details”.
- Request Info: send up to 10 candidate requests for information (if missing) and/or consent, in order to begin processing the candidate’s background check.
- Archive: archive up to 10 candidate background checks. Moves the checks to the ‘Archived Results’ page.
- Download Consents: download up to 10 candidate consent forms. We’ll notify the user via email when the download is ready. The download can then be accessed via the ‘Download Activity’ in the Account section, and is available as a zip file containing PDFs of each candidate consent.
5) Evaluation Status
Evaluation statuses are triggered by actions taken by GoodHire users on the candidate results. The status of adverse action will be highlighted here.

Additional Information
Fair Credit Reporting Act – Client Certification
GoodHire users are required to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) each time a candidate background check has at least one screening service completed. If certification is not provided, you will not be able to view recently completed checks.
See our additional help center page for more information about the FCRA.
Complete Status
GoodHire users may see a “Complete” status for a background check if the user does not:
- Agree to the Fair Credit Reporting Act – Client Certification for a background check, OR
- Have the necessary User Role (Order reports only, Accounting/Billing, Integration User)
