Sex Offender Registry Search

Overview

The Sex Offender Registry Search combs a sex offender registry that spans all U.S. states and territories, and includes hundreds of thousands of offender records nationwide.

The search results will include the states in which the candidate is registered as a sex offender, but will not necessarily include details about the sexual offense committed.

Ordering

The Sex Offender List Search is available in most background check packages.

Reviewing Results

If no records are found, the Sex Offender Registry Search will simply display clear.

Alerts:

If there are any records that match the candidate’s name and date of birth, they will be displayed in the results tab of the Sex Offender Registry Search. Each record displays the record source and offender details, as well as any associated addresses.

Please note that if a sex offender is supposed to have registered to the sex offender registry, but have not done so, any searches done will return clear.

Turnaround Time

Turnaround time for the Sex Offender Registry Search is typically 1 to 3 business days.
