How long will it take for my background check to complete?

GoodHire will email you once your background check begins processing. The email contains a link for you to check your background check status at any time. By viewing your status, you can also see the most up-to-date estimated completion date for your background check. You’ll receive a separate email notification when your background check is complete.

Additional information:

• Some county checks may take longer than 3-7 business days, especially in counties where the records aren’t available online or that require the assistance of a court employee.
• For employment verifications, companies you’ve worked for will be contacted to confirm work history (including dates, titles, and position).
• For education verifications, schools you attended will be contacted to confirm degrees achieved or programs attended.
